Breakups hurt, whether you saw them coming or not. Give yourself real time and permission to feel it — rushing past grief usually only delays it.
Lean on the people who care about you. Talk it through, or don't — either is fine — but don't isolate completely. Keep your routines where you can: meals, sleep, movement. The structure holds you up when your mood can't.
Grief moves at its own pace.
Resist the urge to rebound immediately or to check up on an ex. Give the wound air. In time — not on anyone else's schedule — it closes.
