Renew Your Vows — Any Year Will Do

The Valentine Shop Journal·4 min read·Feb 2026

Vow renewals are rarer than they should be. In a world where marriages fall apart every day, celebrating the ones that make it through is worth doing — and telling your spouse you're more committed today than the day you married is a gift in itself.

Planning one is simpler than it sounds. Choose a meaningful location — where you married, your backyard, where you had your first kiss. Decide how big or small you want it. Write your own vows if you can; specific, real memories mean far more than borrowed words. And if you have children, let them take part — reading, holding flowers, hearing their own small vow from you.

Don't wait for the 50th.

It doesn't need to be fancy, or expensive, or planned years in advance. It just needs doing.
