One giant oatmeal cookie, cut into puzzle pieces before baking, studded with M&M's in a pattern of your choosing.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease two baking sheets.

Combine the butter, sugar and vanilla in one bowl; combine the oats and flour in another. Mix together just until moistened.

Divide the dough in half and pat each half into a heart shape, about 1/4-inch thick, on the prepared sheets.

Press M&M's into the dough in a pattern of your choice, then cut through the dough (without separating) to form 10 random puzzle pieces.

Bake 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned. Cut through the pieces again to separate, cool 5 minutes on the sheet, then cool completely on a rack.
